see 1st verse
you hold a young deer in your hand!
if it is greatness you have it in abundance.
you admitted me as your slave, having won in the case against me saying I shall give you great treasure hoard
speaking deceitful words.
you entered into Kīḻvēḷūr and stayed there.
my god!
if there is your royal order.
shall I be deceived by you?
I shall not.
you must grant me a dagger made of gold which is glittering, and a seal, flower made of gold to wear on the head, and a silken belt to wear on the waist
I must get thrice in a day food, curry and rice, and ghee to be mixed with these two.

O, Lord sporting a fawn in arm! O, Abider in Naagaikkaaronam on Sea!Your glory is great; \\\"richly I shall give you heaps of gold\\\",
saying so you argued and took me! But now, as if you have little to spare, spoke deceitfully, and went to stay in Keezhveloor.
If your promise is in force, why need I be tricked thus! With your seal a scabbard in gold, and a gold lotus to adorn my head,
and silken waist belt you should grant me; as well three times a day, rice, vegetables, and ghee suffused with them also I need as feed.
