you flayed a frenzied elephant to make the daughter of the mountain to fear.
you burnt the three cities that came opposing you.
you would not leave riding with desire on a bull which is capable of killing, and is bellowing.
you would not stop going to each and every house for a small quantity of alms.
Beautiful god in Puttūr full of beauty, on the southern bank of the river Aricil whose water tosses the feathers of the peacock with a bushy tail and black eagle-wood and washing the elephants tusk and the horns of the stag!

O, Lord, Verily are you Fair of fair and holy Puttur
on the South bank of Arisil whose waters waft deer horns,
elephant tusks,feathers of peacocks\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' fan tailed ocelli
and tawny aquila logs! To scare the girl of Himavant
on your half, you skinned the must ichorous elephant;
burnt up the uprooted citadels that flew at you; yet,
mount as ever the fell lowing burly killer Bull;
and roam from home to home to take alms without fail!
