కావేరీనది ఇరుతీరములందలి అలలు ఒకదానినొకటి ఢీకొనుటచే ప్రకాశవంతముగ విరాజిల్లుచున్న తిరునల్లూర్ అనబడు దివ్యస్థలమందు
గండ్రగొడ్డలినిబట్టిన కరముగల ఆ పరమేశ్వరుని ఘనతను, సారవంతమైన నేలతో కూడియుండు తోణిపురనాథుడు,
తమిళ భాషాఙ్నానియైన తిరుఙ్నానసంబంధర్, కొనియాడుచు గానముచేసిన ఈ పాసురముల పూమాలను వల్లించువారు,
పుట్టుకచే మేలిమివాసనగల శ్రేష్టమైన పుష్పములను వెదజల్లి కొలవబడు ఆ మహేశ్వరుని దివ్యచరణములందు ఆశ్రయముపొందు భాగ్యము కలిగినవారయ్యెదరు.

about the god who holds in his hand a battle-axe and who dwells in tirunallūr where gold which is brought by the river, poṉṉi, by its wares shines on both the banks.

those who recite the garland of verses with music, composed by ñāṉacampantaṉ famous for knowledge of Tamiḻ
will attain the bliss which is coveted even by Piramaṉ, to be worshipped by tēvar by scattering flowers, after life in this world is over.
