The hero speaks:
Our union had been wrought by God,
O beauteous damsel like Lakshmi!
Who can ever come by prowess
To destroy this felicity?
You adorn His garden of Chitrambalam
Whose triple eyes are ever-wakeful;
Your locks are freighted with lovely flowers;
Wherefore should you feel grieved at all?
Translation: T. N. Ramachandran,Thanjaavoor ,1995
14. Declaring the grace that never disunites
Effortless, willless, fair unions we have had.
O shapely, comely mien! Sever us, who can?
By provision what and from whom? O one of fair locks!
Flower-laden of floral groves that adorn the holy spatium
Of the triple eyed with eyes offered by the three.
Why then lament and languish?
Translation: S.A. Sankaranarayanan, (2009)
