ஒருத்தியைப் பாகம் வைத்தா னுணர்வினா லைய முண்ணி
ஒருத்திக்கு நல்ல னல்ல னொற்றியூ ருடைய கோவே.

oruththithan 'ralaissen 'raa'laik kara:nthiddaa nulaka maeththa
oruththikku :nalla naaki ma'ruppaduth tho'liththu mee'ndae
oruththiyaip paakam vaiththaa nu'narvinaa laiya mu'n'ni
oruththikku :nalla nalla no'r'riyoo rudaiya koavae.

Translation:

Civaṉ concealed one lady kaṅkai who descended down, on his head to be praised by the people of this world.
being like a good person to that kaṅkai.
creating a blot.
concealing her from being seen by Umai.
placed again one lady on one half.
eats the alms of intelligence.
the Lord who has oṟṟiyūr as his place is not good to either of those two.
