ஓமத்து ளொளிய தாகு மொற்றியூ ருடைய கோவே.

kaamaththu 'lazhu:nthi :nin'ru ka'ndaraa lo'ruppu'n 'naathae
saamaththu vaetha maaki :nin'rathoar sayampu thannai
aemaththu midaiyi raavu maekaa:ntha miyampu vaarkku
oamaththu 'lo'liya thaaku mo'r'riyoo rudaiya koavae.

Translation:

sinking deeply in love.
without being punished by the god of death and his servants.
being the cāma vetam to those who utter the names of the self-existent Civaṉ who is eternal in all the four periods of three hours in the day time and at midnight with the decision that Civaṉ is the supreme god.
the Lord who has oṟṟiyūr is the light in the sacrificial fire.
