அண்ணா வுன்னையல்லா லடையாதென தாதரவே. 

ka'n'naa ru:n:nuthalaay kathirsoozho'li maeniyinmael
e'n'naar ve'npodi:nee 'ra'nivaayezhil vaarpozhilsoozh
thi'n'naar va'npurisaith thiruvaanmi yooru'raiyum
a'n'naa vunnaiyallaa ladaiyaathena thaatharavae.

Translation:

Civaṉ who has on his forehead an eye.
who adorns with the white powder of sacred ash which is highly esteemed, on his brilliant body which has rays surrounding it.
who is in the relation of an elder brother and who dwells in tiruvāṉmiyūr which has very strong wall of surrounded by beautiful and tall gardens.
